My Movie Shots

 The movie I chose to watch was Toy Story. This movie was filled with tons of different camera shots and angles and was also a good movie to sit down and watch.

                                           This was what I believe is an establishing shot, although 
                                            it didn't include a mountain or a waterfall, this scene is 
                                            what puts the movie into play.
                                            This was a follow shot showing Andy playing around
                                            with Woody. I thought this was a funny shot because
                                            the toys in this movie have to put up with being thrown around
                                            and constantly played with.
                                            This was an eye-level shot featuring Woody watch
                                             Andy and his mom set up for his upcoming party.
                                            This is a POV shot which just shows Andy playing with
                                            Woody again.
                                            This is a high-angle shot when the whole set of toys
                                             are discussing what will be happening at Andy's birthday party.
                                            This is a long shot displayed when all of the toys are
                                             meeting with the new toy Buzz Lightyear.
                                           This shot is compromised of two different shots, a 
                                            POV and a Low-Angle shot. Mainly this scene shows 
                                            the low-angle shot of Buzz Lightyear showing off
                                           one of his many gadgets.
                                            This shot is a Choker shot that is displayed when
                                            Woody throws Buzz Lightyear out of the window
                                            after Woody gets jealous of Buzz after taking his fame.
                                            This was an Extreme-Long shot that was shown after
                                             Woody and Buzz get lost and get disbanded from Andy.
                                            This was a Mid-Shot that was played when Buzz was
                                             introduced to the aliens in Pizza Planet. After this scene
                                            everything goes downhill for the iconic duo and this scene
                                             shows a sense of security but quickly goes the other way.

  This shot was a leitmotiff that was  filmed in the end of Avengers Endgame  (2019). In this scene Captain America is facing off against an army on his own when out of nowhere all of his friends that had disappeared somehow returned and helped to fight with Captain America. In the scene they play the Avengers theme in the background to lighten everyone's mood. This was a parallelism shot which was filmed in Captain America the First Avenger (2011). In this scene Captain America acquires his well known shield and makes a team of his own to destroy their enemies hideouts. Misce-en-scene

 I chose to do my misce-en-scene post on the first episode of Stranger Things (S 1 E 1). This show starts off with a boy in the main characters friend group that goes missing when going on a bike ride home. Throughout the entirety of the first season a group of friends discover that their town is not what it seems. Throughout the first season the group of friends are introduced to someone who claims to be named Eleven, Eleven has one of the most significant parts to the story line due to the fact that she knows how to fight off the town's mysteries. The first episode starts off with a boy named Will on his way home after a night at his friends house. In this scene we are shown a low key lighting when a single light on Will's bicycle emits all the light in the scene. In this scene the bike's light makes everything in the scene visible but not quite to make everything out clearly. Movie Opener Brainstorming & Research

1. Rise      -  One part of the film opening which I really appreciated was the strategic use of short close-up shots in creative ways. These close ups show familiar aspects which revolve around the main themes of soccer and athleticism.     - I will definitely consider the use of close up shots throughout my group's comedy film to connect the audience with the main themes. 2. OFFLINE          -  The film opening began with a distinct typewriter-style introduction and title sequence. As this set the eerie mood, centered around cell phones and danger. The contrast between the shots of a calm girl browsing through her phone, and the distressed girl locked in a cage is what brought this opening to the next level, eliciting confusion and discomfort.     - Although our film isn't going to be dramatic, I appreciate the effective use of contrast in this film opening, and that is definitely what stood out to me the ...
